Community Guidelines
Effective date: May 2026
Overview
AfterFive is built around a shared appreciation for excellent food, drink, and experiences. The people who make up this membership — and the venues that welcome them — depend on a community that is respectful, honest, and worth being a part of.
These guidelines apply to all members at all times: within the platform, at partner venues while representing your membership, and in any communication with AfterFive staff or other members.
1. Treat Venues and Staff with Respect
Partner venues choose to participate in AfterFive. Their staff and owners extend hospitality to our members. Members are expected to:
- —Treat venue staff with the same courtesy you would expect in return
- —Accept gracefully when a venue is at capacity, a perk is unavailable, or an offer has changed
- —Present your member pass promptly and honestly — do not misrepresent your status
- —Comply with venue house rules, dress codes, and policies without argument
- —Leave without incident if asked to by venue staff
Abusive, threatening, or entitled behavior toward venue staff or other guests — whether in person or reported to AfterFive — is grounds for immediate membership suspension.
2. Honest Representation
- —Do not share your account credentials or allow another person to use your member pass
- —Do not misrepresent your membership status to obtain benefits you are not entitled to
- —Do not submit false or misleading information to AfterFive (reviews, profiles, etc.)
- —Do not impersonate another person, AfterFive staff, or any other entity
3. Platform Conduct
- —Do not use the AfterFive platform for commercial solicitation, spam, or unsolicited promotion
- —Do not attempt to scrape, copy, or automate access to platform data
- —Do not attempt to manipulate listings, ratings, or venue information
- —Do not use the platform to facilitate illegal activity
- —Report suspected platform abuse or listing inaccuracies to support@joinafterfive.com
4. Alcohol and Responsible Conduct
Many AfterFive partner venues serve alcohol. Members are expected to drink responsibly and to comply with applicable laws regarding the consumption of alcohol. AfterFive is not responsible for members' conduct while at or after visiting a venue.
Members who engage in conduct that endangers themselves or others, or that reflects poorly on the AfterFive community, may have their membership suspended.
5. Zero Tolerance
The following are grounds for immediate and permanent membership termination:
- —Harassment, intimidation, or threats directed at any person
- —Discrimination or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- —Physical altercation or threatening behavior at a partner venue
- —Fraud, chargebacks initiated in bad faith, or abuse of the billing system
- —Criminal activity of any kind related to membership use
6. Enforcement
AfterFive moderates conduct based on direct observation, partner venue reports, and member-submitted reports. Enforcement actions include:
- —Warning — first-time or minor violations
- —Temporary suspension — pending investigation or as a proportionate response
- —Permanent termination — for serious violations or repeated misconduct
Termination for violations of these guidelines does not entitle the member to a refund for any portion of the current or prior billing periods.
To report a violation, contact us at support@joinafterfive.com. We review all reports and take appropriate action, though we may not disclose outcomes.
