Refunds & Cancellation

1. General Refund Policy
AfterFive memberships are sold as monthly digital subscriptions. Because access to the platform begins immediately upon payment, we generally do not issue refunds for completed billing periods or for portions of a billing period that have already been used.
Cancelling your membership stops future charges. You retain access to the member application through the end of the paid billing period. No credit or refund is issued for the remaining days in that period.
2. How to Cancel
You can cancel your membership at any time using either of the following methods:
- —Billing portal: accessible from your account settings page — cancel in seconds, effective at end of billing period
- —Email: contact support@joinafterfive.com with your account email and a cancellation request
Cancellation requests submitted by email will be processed within 2 business days. If your request is received after a billing date, the charge for that period will not be reversed — the cancellation will apply to the following billing period.
3. Exceptions and Goodwill Adjustments
We review refund requests case by case. We may issue a refund or credit in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:
- —Duplicate charges or billing errors on our end
- —Unintentional re-subscription within 48 hours of cancelling
- —Documented inability to access the platform due to a platform-side error for a sustained period
Refund requests based on dissatisfaction with venue experiences, venue closures, or a venue's failure to honor a stated member benefit are not covered, as AfterFive does not control venue operations or benefit delivery.
To request a refund, email support@joinafterfive.com within 30 days of the charge in question. Include your account email and a description of the issue.
4. Founding Member Rate and Price Changes
If AfterFive raises pricing for founding members with advance notice and you choose to cancel before the new rate takes effect, no charge will be made at the new rate. If you cancel mid-cycle before the new rate applies, standard cancellation terms apply — no refund for the current period.
5. Account Termination by AfterFive
If AfterFive terminates your account for violation of the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, no refund will be issued for any portion of the current or prior billing periods. If AfterFive terminates your account without cause, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of the current billing period.
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting AfterFive support, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute. We encourage you to contact us directly — most billing issues can be resolved quickly.
