Membership Terms

1. What Membership Includes
An AfterFive membership provides access to the member application, including:
- —Tonight — a live curated discovery feed updated throughout the evening
- —Explore — the full venue catalog with filtering by type, neighborhood, and offering
- —Map — spatial venue browsing across the city
- —Calendar — event browsing and discovery
- —Digital member pass — for use at participating partner venues
- —Member perks — venue-specific offers and benefits at participating partners
Membership provides access to the AfterFive platform. It does not guarantee entry to any venue, availability of any specific event, or delivery of any particular venue offer or perk. Member benefits are provided at the discretion of partner venues and may change, expire, or be discontinued at any time.
2. Founding Member Rate
Members who join during the founding period are eligible for the founding member rate of $9.99/month, which is locked for the duration of the founding period. The standard membership rate is $14.99/month.
If AfterFive transitions founding members to standard pricing, we will provide no less than 30 days' advance notice via email. Members will have the opportunity to cancel before any price increase takes effect. Continued membership after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new rate.
3. Billing
Your membership is billed on a recurring monthly basis. The billing date is set on the anniversary of the date you first subscribed. Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
By providing a payment method, you authorize AfterFive (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on the applicable billing date for the applicable membership fee. All amounts are charged in U.S. dollars.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect payment again. Access to the member app may be suspended during periods of payment failure until the overdue amount is resolved.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to the member app through the last day of the period you paid for. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing cycle.
To cancel, use the billing portal accessible from your account settings, or contact support at support@joinafterfive.com. Cancelling through Stripe's billing portal does not delete your AfterFive account; your account will revert to a free/inactive state.
5. Member Benefits and Venue Participation
Member perks — such as complimentary items, priority access, or exclusive offers — are negotiated with and provided by individual partner venues. AfterFive facilitates discovery of these perks but does not guarantee their availability or consistency.
The following limitations apply:
- —Member benefits are at the sole discretion of each partner venue
- —Venue participation in the AfterFive network may change without prior notice
- —Benefits may be limited by venue capacity, time of day, event status, or other venue-specific conditions
- —Member perks are non-transferable and apply only to the account holder
- —Benefits cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated by the venue
- —AfterFive is not liable for any venue's failure to honor a stated member benefit
6. Changes to Membership Benefits
AfterFive may add, modify, or remove features from the membership at any time. Where a change materially reduces the benefits included in your membership, we will provide advance notice and, where appropriate, adjust the membership fee accordingly.
7. Account in Good Standing
Membership benefits are available only while your account is in good standing. Accounts that violate the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines may be suspended or terminated without refund for the current or prior billing periods.
